This year we had two kiddos playing ball. Thankfully HK played all of her games at 6 pm on T/H and Nolan's were at 7 pm on the same nights at fields right next to one another. For that I was so grateful since Momma is big and easily fatigued this summer! HK played coach-pitch and Nolan played t-ball for the first time.

Ready to take off running. One thing that I will have to note about HK (as told to us by many observers at the ballgames)...she runs extremely fast...like a deer. The girl has got speed and even grace in her running!
Nolan's team was sponsored by "Grampy's Bank" as he calls it. He was so excited the first night he went to practice and came home with his shirt and hat. I was curious to see how Nolan did playing on a team and listening to a coach (adult other than us). Mr. Nolan is very independent, a thinker, and an observer. He will watch something and then just do it when he is ready in his own time. It drives me bonkers!!! The older he gets and develops the more we see that he is truly his Father's son! The first night of practice the coach asked for parents to come out on the field and help. Nate started to go out onto the field and as he did Nolan looked at him and said, "You're not my coach. You have to sit and watch." So needless to say when he got home that night I let him know what I thought of him saying that to his Dad. After explaining how unkind his words were I proceeded to tell him that his Dad is the best coach he will probably ever have and better start listening to him when he tries to show him how to do something. The next time after he came in from practice Nolan came over to me and said, "Mommy, I didn't say anything unkind tonight."
Nolan has seemed to enjoy himself. Liam definitely would like to be out there with him!

This was Nolan's favorite position. I think he thought the ball would just roll right to him. He eventually starting running wherever the ball was hit. After one game he told me his favorite part was running!

I always enjoy watching the kids play, but don't mind when the season ends either. It makes for some crazy nights. I do not look forward to the years of having to go multiple directions for games. I won't worry about that now, but will enjoy these little rugrats just the way they are for this season!
