Family Time

Saturday evening we had some fun family time!
HK writing her name on an egg.
Daddy and Papa helping color the eggs...or supervising!

 Maybe next year little Buddy!!!

Happy Easter 2011

So you will have to forgive my post today....it's in reverse.  I didn't mean for it to be.  When Nate was helping me to upload the video from the camera last night he somehow also got a newer version or something because uploading pictures was different this morning.  I like it better, but I just didn't realize it was going to actually upload them in a different way.

So...I hope you all had a wonderful Easter Sunday celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and spending time with your families!

Here's my littlest bunny this year...

Liam has reached the age of "swinging".  Papa has always done this with little kids, and they always LOVE it!  The first picture is actually Daddy doing the swinging.
This one is Papa.  As you can tell...Liam LOVES it too!

We spent the evening with Papa and Grandma Cathe.  We watched Toy Story 3 which everyone loved!  Papa got some good snuggling from the kids!  After that was when HK gave us her praise and worhsip concert from the last post!  I think she could've gone on for at least another hour, but it was bedtime.

Then I did remember to try and get some pictures of the kids before church!  It is always such a nightmare to try and get some afterwards.  However, Nolan did not want to get his picture taken before church either.  However he and his Daddy had a little heart to heart and these two pictures are his post-Daddy chat smile.

Overall, not too bad...a little fake cheese from Nolan...but I'll take it!

Liam got a chunk of HK's hair and gave it a good tug!

These three pictures were pre-Daddy chat faces by Nolan.

2 out of 3 cooperating well isn't too bad

 "Yes sir, I will smile....cheese!"

 Nolan LOVING his Reese Eggs.

 Liam checking out his goodies.

I had to wake the kids up at 8:40 (well the older two anyway).  Otherwise we never would've made it by 9:30 to church.  I let Nolan wake HK up and it was pretty cute!  Then we went ahead and started eating breakfast while we waited for Daddy to get out of the shower to find the eggs and get baskets.  Daddy had brought chocolate donuts home after rounds so Nolan was quite happy.  As you can see by his face above, when we got him down (and he wasn't finished with his chocolate donuts...he wasn't happy).  I tried to explain about finding his basket, but he didn't care.  He wanted to eat his chocolate donuts.  I do think he finally figured out that there was something cool waiting for him.

On Good Friday night, Nate and I went to the Secret Church simulcast where David Platt did about 5 hours of Bible study/teaching.  It was amazing!  Nate and I can't wait to continue studying deeper what he gave us.  Talk about reflecting on Christ and what His life means!  Despite the storms and rain, we enjoyed this Easter weekend!

Next American Idol?

Well I am really frustrated that I didn't have my video camera with me last night!!!

HK put on quite a little performance at Papa and Grandma Cathe's house.
Papa brought the microphone downstairs and hooked it up.
HK's requests...
Where the Spirit of the Lord Is...Chris Tomlin and Christy Nockels
Our God...Chris Tomlin

Here are a few pictures. She wanted all of the lights out and Papa used the flashlight as a spotlight. The tv tray was her stage. She was a riot!!! I did get a little video on my camera, but I am having trouble getting it to upload!!! She definitely needed a cordless microphone! She was all over the place dancing too!

Future American Idol star? Future praise and worship leader? Who knows, but I think a karaoke machine for her birthday would be a hit and maybe some voice lessons one day!

Gonna see if I can get the video later tonight!
Oh yeah... and this is what Nolan did while she performed. He played with his new Elmo umbrella until he eventually decided he wanted to try the microphone.

So this isn't the video that I wanted to upload from my camera, but it will give you a little glimpse.  Will have to make sure I have my video camera next time.

What A Pair...

For Many Reasons!

Here are just a few...
Snuggling on the floor watching Toy Story 3. I can't wait to show them this picture one day when they can't stand each other.

Waking Sissy up on Easter morning. We had to wake her up at 8:40!

This picture will explain the next one...
HK has turned into Rapunzel the last couple of weeks. I sent she and Nate to Wal-mart one day, and they came back with the wig. She must have used her Rapunzel charm on him. She goes around quoting the movie (reminder of being careful of what she takes in!). She sings the songs. You get the picture.
If you have seen the movie...you will get these two pictures.

After speech therapy, Nolan always goes and finds Sissy first thing. I guess he really misses her during that hour.
Today I found them in our bedroom...up in the pack-n-play watching tv! They had used their stools to get up in it.
These two are quite a pair and I cannot imagine the mischief they are going to get into!

Seven for Liam

Liam hit the 7 month mark last week and is just as much a joy as ever!

He has already figured out the sign...
and how to get it!
And get it he did!

"Ahhh Mommy u finks u cwever. I can gets it back der!"
And get it he did!

He is now quite the efficient little sitter with wonderful posture!
He even likes to sit up straight in his little seat at Nana and Grampy's house.
He scooted himself across the room by trying to reach down and get the floor.
Showing you how much you love to eat. You are usually anticipating the next bite.

You love being down in the floor playing alongside your brother and sister.

You have now made it to story hour at the library a few times. Sometimes you have slept through it and sometimes you have gotten out and enjoyed it. This time you slept.

You also got your first swing ride. Totally just chillin' as usual!

I realized this week that I have not videoed you since you were born. I feel so ashamed of myself. I have lots of pictures, but no more videos. So when you were going nuts over Veggietales, I pulled it out. When I got up to get the camera, you were moving so excitedly you went forward and bonked your face. So when the video starts you still had some tears in your eyes, but quickly started enjoying it again. Your brother obviously enjoyed it too...in quite a trance.

Liam you have such a wonderful demeanor! You have this amazing smile that you share quite often with anyone that comes around you. My next goal is to capture your amazing belly laugh! Sunday at church I heard a little baby laugh and I had to turn around because it sounded so much like you!
You sleep with your brother in your shared bedroom all of the time now. It's amazing how you go right to sleep. Nolan takes his hour or two at times to wind down. He will talk and sometimes holler for me, but it never wakes you. Then when Nolan sleeps late, you are usually awake by 7. However sometimes you wake between 4 and 5 to have this little party with yourself. Then you go back to sleep. If you do that, you usually sleep a little later. It's also funny that those little chat sessions don't wake Nolan either. I am not sure why I was so worried about sticking you two boys together!
We all love you so much sweet boy! You are a perfect fifth piece to our family puzzle!
