Father's Day weekend was spent with both grandpas and Daddy. Saturday morning we were with Papa. Saturday evening Daddy and Papa went golfing while HK, Nolan, and I spent some time with Grampy.
Saturday morning was spent mostly outside. HK wanted to play ball with Papa. However, by the time we got outside her interest had died down a bit.

This is the new stomping off pout..."No. I'm sorry. I go away now." Please make sure to read that line with as much 3 year old sass as possible!

HK wore one of Papa's Cubs hats out. The swing set was a big distraction from playing ball. She wanted to swing instead.

Even though it is a Princess bat and ball Papa is going to give HK another lesson in catching, throwing, and batting. Papa is trying to get HK to stand by the base that he got out and put in the yard. As you can tell...her attention is elsewhere...hmmm look at that pretty blue butterfly up in the tree. I wander if I can catch that?

Again, Papa trying to get and keep HK's attention for a ball lesson. Uh...I think she has spotted something more intriguing!

That's right folks...a flower...that term is used very loosely. All signs point in the direction of our daughter being the one in the outfield that is picking flowers and dancing to her own music. I will take the blame for that if it occurs. I keep trying to tell Nate that she just turned three and this is only her third "lesson".
She did manage to play ball for a few minutes. Then hide and seek was the new game. This lasted for quite awhile...

Papa & HK looking for Daddy...who kept walking around the house and through the house so they couldn't find him.

Then Papa had to find HK & Daddy.

No...she actually didn't get in trouble. Daddy is trying to teach her to count with her eyes closed and not peek or cheat!
Grandma Cathe suggested making a homemade slip n' slide Saturday morning.

The weather was perfect for outdoor fun. Homemade slip n' slide, some soap, and a sprinkler...perfect combo.

This is the way grandparents slide if they want to be hurting the next day.

Okay...enough spraying already. Who let Nate have control of the hose? How come he is not wet?

HK trying to push Papa down the homemade slip n' slide. This is the suggested way for grandparents to slide to refrain from injury and only incur soreness the next day.
Unfortunately Nolan took his morning nap through most of the outdoor fun.
He did get in on some good time as well!
The many faces of Nolan...

Seriously lady... could you put that thing away and just play with us down here.

Oh fine...if I smile then will you come play?!?!

That's it...no more smiles for you. The show is over.

Ahhh...come one....you know I can't resist that crazy face you make.

...and he can't hold back and breaks his whole face into a smile.

HK & Daddy doing their fantastic flips. Nolan is pretty sure that he would prefer that Papa hold on real tight to him so that he doesn't have to try that just yet. He's pretty sure this is in the baby manual with a big circle drawn around it and a line slashed through it....gonna have to make sure Daddy sees that one.

Nope, I won't smile...won't do it.

Haaaaa....just kidding.

Take it away Brother!
A great day had by all!
We love you very much Papa or Grandfather and appreciate all that you do for us.
Thank you for loving us so much!
